Found these treasures in an old book shop downtown. Read more about them on my blog.

023/365 – Haircut
January 28, 2010A much anticipated event, I’ve gotten rid of most of my hair, it was becoming unruly and planning to revolt.
I’ve been getting my hair cut at Broadway Barbers for over 10 years now. We used to come here even when we lived in Coquitlam, that’s how good these guys are. Two brothers, who know the names of everyone that comes and gets a haircut from them.

022/365 – Boots
January 28, 2010Right after class, Bob and I moved as quickly as we could to get our stuff and head up to Grouse for some
skiing! Though, this recent warm weather has taken a heavy hit on the mountain; now I understand why they’re concerned for Cypress. About half of every run is bare, and the snow has been moved over to only one side. Also, there were rocks and grass throughout the icy snow.
Once we got used to it, it was okay, but the snow feels like end-of-the-season snow instead of in the middle of prime conditions.
Everybody sacrifice to the Snow Demons for more snowfall, and soon.

018/365 – Silmarillion
January 19, 2010Hi, my name is Alex, and I’m a bookaholic. It started with just a few books read to me here and there when I was little, but before I knew it, the habit manifested itself to the point where I would be the one deciding the library trips and devouring the reading lists. Now, I find myself buying books faster than I can read them, as if I can’t get enough of them. Periods of depression follow the end of some of my favourite series, especially when I have to leave characters behind. Sometimes, on cold and lonely nights, I even dream about them. A grand library with a comfy chair, a cracking fire (well away from the stacks), and one of those sliding ladders.
